{"id":1703,"date":"2022-08-01T14:52:24","date_gmt":"2022-08-01T13:52:24","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.inserm-u1000.universite-paris-saclay.fr\/?page_id=1703"},"modified":"2022-08-03T16:40:23","modified_gmt":"2022-08-03T15:40:23","slug":"methodologies-implemented-or-developed-in-the-unit","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/www.inserm-u1000.universite-paris-saclay.fr\/?page_id=1703","title":{"rendered":"Methodologies implemented or developed in the unit"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>The laboratory members can evaluate :<\/p>\n<p>&#8211; the <span style=\"color: #3366ff;\">psychiatric<\/span> and psychopathological <span style=\"color: #3366ff;\">clinic<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">&#8211; <span style=\"color: #3366ff;\">cognitive<\/span> and behavioural <span style=\"color: #3366ff;\">performance<\/span> of participants through <span style=\"color: #3366ff;\">interviews<\/span>,<span style=\"color: #3366ff;\"> questionnaires<\/span> and <span style=\"color: #3366ff;\">neuropsychological tests<\/span> completed face-to-face and via the <span style=\"color: #3366ff;\">Internet<span style=\"color: #000000;\">.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p>&#8211; access to physiological measurements by portable sensors<\/p>\n<p>We have developed <span style=\"color: #3366ff;\">database<\/span> expertise to develop new integrative modelling, with psychometric, psychiatric, neuropsychological, and MRI imaging data.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #3366ff;\">Denoising and harmonisation<\/span> methods, <span style=\"color: #3366ff;\">machine learning<\/span> (AI), algorithmic <span style=\"color: #3366ff;\">modelling<\/span>, are experimented in collaboration<em> in situ<\/em> with mathematicians from the Borelli centre.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.inserm-u1000.universite-paris-saclay.fr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/08\/debruitage.png\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\" wp-image-1802 aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/www.inserm-u1000.universite-paris-saclay.fr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/08\/debruitage.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"405\" height=\"228\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.inserm-u1000.universite-paris-saclay.fr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/08\/image-08_22_1.png\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\" wp-image-1803 aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/www.inserm-u1000.universite-paris-saclay.fr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/08\/image-08_22_1.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"497\" height=\"280\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Three imaging techniques have been adapted to explore the brain of subjects with different conditions :<\/p>\n<p>1\/<strong> <span style=\"color: #3366ff;\">MRI (Magnetic Resonance Imaging)<\/span><\/strong> to study the morphology of the brain,<\/p>\n<p>2\/ <strong><span style=\"color: #3366ff;\">Functional MRI (fMRI)<\/span><\/strong> to study brain function,<\/p>\n<p>3\/ <span style=\"color: #3366ff;\"><strong>PET<\/strong> <\/span>(Positron Emission Tomography) to explore neurochemistry.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The Unit, in collaboration with the methodological teams of the CEA, at the Service Hospitalier Fr\u00e9d\u00e9ric Joliot (Orsay) and at Neurospin (Saclay), has contributed to the development of new computerised means of analysing brain morphometry. Based on the automatic segmentation of anatomical and diffusion images, it is now possible to analyse the fine anatomy (volume and shape) of each cortical sulcus and white matter fibre bundles throughout the brain.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The unit participated in the implementation of image acquisition and processing methods for the study of anatomical connectivity by <span style=\"color: #3366ff;\"><strong>diffusion MRI<\/strong><\/span>.
